Expertise Packing & Handling

One of the most critical aspects of an overseas move is the quality of the packing. At KMI we choose our packing staff and the quality of our materials with infinite care. As specialists in international moving, naturally enough all of our packing teams are well trained and fully experienced in the delicate art of packing/moving your valued possessions. They are seasoned hands.

All packing takes place in your home using only the best available materials. When our packing crew arrives the site supervisor will identify himself and take a short tour of the home with you, to identify any particular items requiring special care and to agree with you a schedule of packing that meets your needs, such as packing the beds last.

Fragile items/glassware/crystals are tube packed and individually wrapped in white paper/tissue paper(depending on the items) and further protected with ‘bubblepack’, then packed into larger reinforced cartons.

Electronics appliances are wrapped with bubblepack and packed into strong cartons with further protection of Styrofoam inside when necessary; Small parts like remote controller and wire/cables are packed/marked and put on top of same boxes; Big/heavy/high value appliances will be placed into customs made crates for added protection and safety.

Furniture are dismantled when necessary and carefully wrapped with cardboard/bubble pack; doors & drawer handles will wrapped with soft paper and tightened inside before packing the whole furniture; Styrofoam will be used to protect its glass surfaces

Oil painting or similar nature of items will be wrapped with wax paper and then bubblepack/cardboard/crates protected.

Valuable items, big framed pictures, ornate mirrors, piano and any items need specialist care are wrapped with bubblepack/cardboard and placed into custom made crates for added protection and safety.

Clothes/ Beddings are handled with gloves wearing and carefully placed into flat wardrobes or regular cardboard boxes; Suits/dressing/nice clothes are hung up in Hanging Wardrobe.

Written inventoried packing lists will be issued to ensure goods have been packed properly, recorded and moved from your premises as required. Existing flaws will be noted to you before packing and conditions marked on packing list

Each carton and piece of furniture is individually labeled utilizing our computerized labels

‘Fragile’, ‘Up’, ‘Handle with Care’ signs are ticked on the packages to ensure receiving special attention and care

Silica gels will be put into boxes containing clothes/carpets to prevent mildew during its long distance transportation

Walk through room by room will be done with you after packing to make sure all items to be moved are packed and collected

Number checking will be made upon goods collecting/loading/unloading
